Eyesight Ophthalmic Services (www.EyesightNH.com) is a busy, privately owned , multi-physician ophthalmic and optometric practice. We work with our own private surgical center (www.CoastalSurgicalCenter.com) and we are the ONLY practice in the seacoast region serving all the area seacoast hospitals. Our providers specialize in all areas of eyecare including routine exams and contact lenses, ocular plastic surgery, diabetic eye care, glaucoma surgery, cataract surgery, LASIK surgery (www.ClearAdvantageLaser.com), retina surgery, clinical research, and more!

Per Diem – OD Light Adjustable Lens Specialist
- Are you looking to supplement your practice while diving into the exciting field of Light Adjustable Lenses? Join us at Eyesight in our Portsmouth and Somersworth locations, where you’ll work with dedicated technicians who support you every step of the way. You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with our talented team of Providers.
About the Technology:
- Dr. N. Timothy Peters and Dr. Warren S. Goldblatt were part of a clinical research study exploring this innovative technology. It features a silicone lens with light-sensitive macromers that can be adjusted post-implantation using a patented Light Delivery Device (LDD). This allows patients to “test drive” their vision and make adjustments to achieve the best possible outcome, whether it’s stronger near vision for activities like needlepoint or fine-tuned distance vision for driving on the fairway.
Position Details:
Location: Portsmouth, NH and Somersworth, NH
Schedule: Flexible, consistent week-to-week, working one day a week for at least six hours
Support: Work alongside dedicated technicians and a talented team of Providers
Required Qualifications:
- Credentials: Must be a licensed optometrist in NH.
- Experience: Prior experience with lens implantation procedures is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment: Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in Light Adjustable Lenses technology.

Ophthalmic Technician
Due to the increasingly growing need for skilled technicians in ophthalmology, Eyesight is seeking to fill various Technician positions for each of their 4 locations in Portsmouth, Somersworth, Exeter and Kittery. Trained under both ophthalmologists (MDs) as well as optometrists (ODs) as well as various technician peers, your career in caring for patients begins here!
Your career involves taking medical history, performing various tests and exams, supporting doctors during exams or preparing patients to meet with the doctor. Training including working within our electronic medical record system (EMA/Modernizing Medicine), administering medications and topical treatments, examining and understanding test results and answering patient questions.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with people of all ages from pediatric to elderly, be detail oriented and able to obtain and record the necessary information from patients to ensure a safe and healthy eye exam by the doctor, and identifying patient needs to prepare them for their exam or upcoming procedure.

Patient Services Representative – Front Desk
The Front Desk function acts as a point-of-contact for all non-clinical patient services including scheduling, processing patient payments and insurance documentation, maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records, and maintaining the front desk area. The Patient Service Representative must work collaboratively with their team, communications, technicians, and doctors to assist in coordination of functions necessary for ensuring an excellent patient experience through accuracy, efficiency and professionalism during the patient visit.
